How to Get the Most Out of This Year’s Hunting Season

As professional hunters, the team at Sniper Sharp knows what it takes to have a good hunt. Read on to learn more about what we think will help you get the most out of each hunting season.

Get in Shape

Hunting season is here – but that doesn’t mean you don’t have time to get in shape. What does this mean for you? Well, it depends where you live and hunt. If you’re hunting out West for bigger game like deer, elk, bighorn sheep, or even bison – being physically fit will come in handy.

You can’t avoid higher elevations when hunting out West. And higher elevations means a great deal of walking and climbing. With that said, every bit of exercise you do in the off season will help you when it comes time to hunt. That doesn’t mean the exercise stops once hunting season begins either. Even if you haven’t been able to challenge yourself physically up until now, everything you do counts. That’s why it’s not too late to get in shape. We don’t recommend going from nothing to a high altitude mountain climb. But the more you do now, the less altitude sickness, cramping, and fatigue you’ll deal with while on the hunt.

Aside from the hunt, physical fitness is equally important when shooting Skeet or Trap. You need to have the ability to act quickly and rotate smoothly while tracking your targets. Calisthenics and stretching can help with these movements.

What are some advantages to being in shape when it comes to hunting?

  • Safety – Above all else, the greatest advantage to being in shape is safety. Western hunts can be sketchy. Climbing across uneven terrain when you’re not physically in shape is dangerous. Especially while carrying a heavy gear load. So if you’re going to get in shape for any reason – please let it be for safety.
  • Carrying the Load –  Fill that backpack with all the gear you need because you’ll be able to handle it.
  • Relaxed Breathing – You already know how important breathing is when it comes to hunting. When you’re out of shape and free hunting, you’re going to be breathing hard – and breathing hard is going to make focusing on your target that much harder.

While there are many advantages to being in shape, we think the ones listed above are crucial. Get outside and start moving. Climb those hills, walk those miles – no matter what, just keep moving. You’ll enjoy the hunt that much more

If you don’t know where to start or aren’t wanting to fully commit to a workout regimen – try walking 30 minutes a day. That’s roughly two miles. If nothing more, it’ll help your cardiovascular system enough that when you go to shoot through a scope, you won’t be gasping for air while your scope dances around on you.

Proper Hunting Gear

Our biggest tip when it comes to hunting gear is to be comfortable. Make sure your clothes, boots, and gear fit comfortably. Once you get out there, the last thing you want is the discomfort of boots too tight or gear that doesn’t fit right. It’s no different than any other sport – you want the appropriate gear for the appropriate job.

Pay attention to the weather and temperature where you’re hunting. If it’s cool early on but warmer by late morning, make sure you have the appropriate clothing. Wear comfortable layers. And if you’re going to splurge on anything, make it your footwear. When you take care of your feet, you take care of your whole body. Supplementation Through Sniper Sharp

Hunting has everything to do with contrast, glare, lighting, and even seeing which way the wind is blowing. This type of visual performance takes place in the back of the eye – the part of the eye where Sniper Sharp makes a difference. Our product lets the human body achieve the highest possible level of visual performance. You’ll be able to accurately recognize contrast, colors, depth perception, and glare. All of which will increase your ability to track. For example, if you were tracking a deer in the woods, you’d easily be able to distinguish tree limbs from antlers. A woodsy environment is the perfect example of a high contrast situation.

When it comes to hunting gear, you likely own a nice pair of sunglasses or shooting glasses. Sniper Sharp complements your glasses by enhancing your vision from the inside out. Your visual performance is fully optimized with this supplement, while your glasses offer you that additional protection on the outside.

There isn’t a pharmaceutical alternative to Sniper Sharp on the market. There isn’t anything you can do or take to increase the nutrition and performance of your eye the way Sniper Sharp can. This product allows you to perform at your highest physiological ability.

If you take anything away from this blog post, let it be this – get outdoors, get moving, invest in good quality gear, and take care of your self with proper nutrition and supplementation. These things will help you get the most out of each hunting season.
