GENERAL FAQ
Frequently asked questions around dosage, supplement benefits, directions, and testing.
Scientific studies show significant improvement in as little as 8 weeks, while we recommend 6 months to 1 year of continuous supplementation for optimal results. Since Sniper Sharp works to build your macular pigment in the back of your retina over time, you can monitor enhancements in your visual performance via contrast sensitivity testing from an eye care professional.
Supplementation is about optimizing results. Like healthy eating and exercise, it is a lifestyle change that needs to be maintained in order to achieve and maintain enriched macular pigment levels. Once you stop a diet and exercise regimen, you’re likely to gain weight unless proper measures are maintained. Similarly, if you stop supplementing, you will see your macular pigment levels and visual performance benefits decrease over time.
Over time, improving macular pigment levels will help with reducing glare, enhancing contrast sensitivity, protecting from negative blue light damage, increasing visual processing speed and reaction time, reducing digital eye strain, and improving sleep quality.
While the high-quality materials inside the softgel are considered vegetarian and made from marigold flower, the softgel capsule itself is made using food grade, FDA-sanctioned beef gelatin. This ensures the stability and integrity of the capsule.
Yes, Sniper Sharp is gluten free and non-GMO.
No, annatto is a natural red plant extract used to color the softgel casing to ensure light blocking stability of the nutrients. Without this protective-colored casing, these nutrients would be susceptible to break down. Inside, the natural pigment of these nutrients is bright yellow, similar to its marigold components.
1 small softgel per day has been scientifically proven to be effective at building macular pigment and improving visual performance. Since the nutrients in this supplement are fat-soluble, it is recommended to take with a meal for best absorption and bioavailability.
Sniper Sharp is just one, small, easy-to-swallow softgel per day. Feedback from consumers is that it is smaller than most industry comparable supplements.
Studies show that while one pill per day is effective, toxicity studies have been done without serious implications of taking more than the recommended dosage.
No. The American diet provides on average, less than 2 mg/day of macular carotenoid nutrition. Sniper Sharp contains 22 mg of highly bioavailable Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Meso-Zeaxanthin, levels shown to provide therapeutic benefits to patients which cannot be achieved through diet alone.
Sniper Sharp undergoes rigorous testing, meeting the high-quality assurance standards of both NSF and Informed Sport. Every batch and every lot number is thoroughly tested and we are proud to ensure Sniper Sharp holds both NSF and Informed sport certifications.
In short, no. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not have the authority to review dietary supplement products for safety and effectiveness before they are marketed.
However, Sniper Sharp goes above and beyond to ensure product quality and safety. Sniper Sharp is both NSF and Informed Sport certified to be free of banned substances and meet label nutrient claims. Informed-Sport also ensures that ingredients have been manufactured to high quality standards, making Sniper Sharp a clear choice for improving your vision.
